My name is Steve Smart, and proudly offer a collection of totally natural Australian Opals to the world.

From selecting the rough opal from trusted sources and facing up the material (Steve), to finishing each opal (our son Ryan), to listing items and dispatching orders (Evelyn) and making amazing jewellery (our daughter Kayla), this is a true family business.

Each opal is cut in Australia, taking care to embrace the natural elements, perfectly polished and ready for the next stage of the creative journey.

US Shipping update - 26 August 2025

Australia Post has advised that shipping to the United States has been temporarily suspended while systems are put in place to manage the new tariff collection.

You can still place small orders with us and we can hold the items to conbine postage when Australia post shipping resumes. Please use your normal "Creative" or "Opal10" discount code, plus also enter the code "Combine" to complete the transaction with no shipping fees.

In preparation for the new Australia Post shipping services being implemented, we have registered with the third party provider that will collect US tariffs prior to goods departing Australia. This service is still being developed, and so we are currently offering Fedex International Priority Express shipping for parcels, as Fedex have existing systems to manage tariff collection. US based customers should now see a 10% price increase on our products across the website, to cover the tariff prior to shipment.

The Fedex cost is AUD$70 for up to 500 grams. We cover the international entry fee for orders under USD$2500. For orders over USD$2500, we require the customer EIN or SSN and a small percentage import fee is payable. Please contact us with any questions!
